The MatPortal dataset catalogue launched with 203 public records in the June acceptance snapshot. Browse evolving public metadata, filters, related-ontology context, and source or file links.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the MatPortal dataset catalogue, a dedicated space for discovering public materials datasets. This catalogue provides researchers with centralized access to dataset metadata and source links, including filtered queries like wind datasets.

Catalogue Growth and Evolution

The catalogue launched with 203 datasets in our June acceptance snapshot. As more projects and researchers contribute to the materials science ecosystem, this total will continue to evolve. Users can explore metadata profiles to understand dataset contents, formats, and access conditions.

What each record can show

Records can expose project, organization, tags, language, license, format, related-ontology context, and source or file links when those fields are available. Some records are metadata-only; totals and metadata completeness evolve as sources change.
